Brass Worktops for Your Brass Kitchen
Let Designs 05 create custom brass worktops for your brass kitchen using the best quality traditional yellow brass sheets from German mills. This is the flattest and the best appearance. We can make worktops up to 3 meters long without a joint.
Our facilities comprise a metal fabrication workshop, a woodworking shop, a patina metal ageing studio, and a lacquer spray shop to offer a full manufacturing service under one roof.
A new brass kitchen worktop fit out.
These brass worktops are finished in a light-aged patina and comprise three sections.
The left-hand section showcases a bespoke-sized integrated brass sink fully welded into the top.
The rear section has an acute angle where it fits against the stone wall and an upstand folded in where it meets the timber panels.
The right-hand T-shaped section is bespoke.
All three parts were sized up from templates supplied by the client.
Brass kitchen island worktop
A good example of an extra wide, 120cm, three seater brass kitchen island with breakfast bar.
You can see a joint running lengthways down this top. This is because it was too wide to make from standard brass sheets while allowing enough metal to fold down the sides and back underneath. The two brass pieces are folded into the seam.
The end panel has no seam because it fits inside a 100cm wide sheet.
The finish to the brass is a light-aged patina.
Another brass kitchen worktop/breakfast bar
Two brass kitchen worktops here; the partly visible rear is a standard rectangular worktop.
The front worktop is dual-purpose: worktop and breakfast bar. All visible timber on this unit was clad in brass; you can see patina brass panels in the back.
Brass kitchen sinks
One of our specialities is brass sinks. This worktop is not brass in this picture, though we regularly build sinks integrated into worktops.
As you can see, it is a drop-in double brass sink with an integrated drainage area.
The drainer and perimeter around the sinks were machined from a thick, solid brass sheet. The sinks were then fabricated and welded into the framework. We can create brass worktops with integrated brass sinks for a seamless look.
Brass worktops with a drop-in hob.
This is a fairly straightforward brass top, quite large, with a straight-in-line four-burner stainless steel hob.
The finish is natural brass.

Rustic brass kitchen worktop counter
This was a bespoke commission for Stuart Holt of Javelin Block property development in Birmingham.
A rustic brass dining bar and worktop on top of brass-clad kitchen units. The unit is circa 8 meters long.
This unit blends perfectly into the industrial decor like an antique brass worktop.

Brass Kitchen unit doors
When cladding kitchen doors and cupboard panels, we need to work with your kitchen manufacturer/installer to achieve the best results. We need to discuss dimensional tolerances for the added metal thickness, and the hinge design needs consideration.
Typically, the kitchen fitter installs everything, including the tops; often, the installer will supply the worktop timber carcass to us for copper cladding. This often happens where a wall is not dead straight and the worktop has to be scribed and cut specially to fit.
The whole project is a joint effort.
